of a bitch’s life, Dante had been charged with seeing Vlad’s woman and now mate to safety. The king of the vampires could’ve taken out Dante and all the rest of Mircea’s turned bloodsuckers but instead he took mercy on those willing to follow his grandsons’ lead.

Months ago, Dante had been minding his own business when he’d had a run-in with Mircea. He’d been foolish enough to think he could hand the old man his ass. The evil fuck nearly drained him before giving Dante some of his vampire blood. The next week had been hell, fire, and damnation. Dante thought he had actually died and been sent to visit Cerberus, the hound of Hades. No other way to describe the fire and agony that had coursed through his veins and took him to his very knees. How anyone survived the internal conflagration was a mystery. But when the week was over, he sported fangs and had gained inhuman-like strength, among other things. Not that he wanted to thank the evil son of a bitch, but Mircea had handed Dante immortality and Vlad Tepes had allowed him to keep it. He had been given a second lease on life and he wasn’t about to blow it.

Dante wove his way through the sales floor and some of the new Harley Davidsons, fresh from the factory. Damn, but there were some sweet looking rides. Of course, he was partial to the Harley Davison Breakout 114 he had purchased following his release from the pen, but that didn’t mean he couldn’t own more than one bike. His new job would have its perks. While he had never gone to school to learn the trade of becoming a mechanic, he was eager to soak up the Sons’ knowledge. Some of these guys had been building and working on motorcycles for years. Most of Dante’s abilities came from the street and from working on his own bikes before his arrest for assault and battery.

Kane “Viper” Tepes leaned down, his forearms resting on a glass and steel case sporting motorcycle helmets. Kaleb stood to his right. Kane was Club P while Kaleb sported the VP patch of the Oregon chapter.

“How are your twins, Viper?” Gunner asked, slapping the large vampire on the back, chortling.

Kane rose to his full height, standing taller than the crew gathered around. “Kade and Kalen are doing great. Good babies. I swear they never cry and already sleep through the night. Good thing, as Cara’s going back to work at the Sheriff’s Office in a week. I suppose she’s eager to work with her new partner, Janelle, Vlad’s mate, and no doubt tired of staying at home with my ugly ass.”

“Who can blame her?” Kaleb’s mirth turned up his lips. “You can be trying at times, bro.”

“Says the vampire who drives us all nuts regularly.”

“The love of brothers.” Gunner chuckled again. “Glad your boys are doing well. And Stefan, Hawk? How’s the toddler?”

Kaleb’s pride lit his face. No doubt he was a softy when it came to his son. “Keeping Suzi busy. She’s getting stir-crazy and thinks maybe she should go back to work, especially now that Cara will be going back.”

“What’s stopping her?”

“The desire for another son. Suzi wants a brother for Stefan. She has baby fever.”

“No time like the present, Hawk.” Kane winked at his brother.

“I’d rather watch you suffer the baby blues.”

“No blues here, bro. They keep me busy but I’m loving every minute of it.”

“Besides, with our brood and Lucian and Chaos, Gypsy and Xander’s kids, the clubhouse will already be overrun with toddlers.”

“Can’t argue that.” Kane turned his attention back to Gunner. “Ready to open the doors on the newest K&K Motorcycles shop?”

“Adrian and I will concentrate on the new builds under Kaleb’s direction. Some of the new guys in the MC that Mircea turned are good mechanics, leaving us time to get creative on a few kick-ass choppers.” Gunner glanced in Dante’s direction. “Dante is still learning the mechanics of the business. Until he’s ready, we’ll keep him in the showroom.”

“Good place for him.” Adrian smirked. “His good-looking mug will draw in the women. After all, they like to ride their own bikes these days.”

“Good-looking mug?” Gunner snickered. “More like ugly bastard.”

“Thanks, Gunner.” Dante rubbed a hand across his close-shorn hair. “I don’t seem to have a problem getting ladies. Besides, you haven’t exactly been beating them away these days. I can always send my overflow your way.”

“Hell, no. I’m good.”

“He’s saving himself for Adriana,” Adrian
